The past three general elections for president have left me angry and frustrated over the military vote. The Democratic party appears to systematically attempt to prevent the counting of the votes of the men and women risking their very lives for them. Beyond the pale. Then the election passes, it's forgotten, the next one comes, and it happens again.
Where is our Republican Leadership?According to Rod Powers, who writes on the US Military About.com site, ONE THIRD OF THE MILITARY BALLOTS in the 2000 election in Miami were tossed by the Dems.
Forty percent of the more than 3,500 overseas ballots in Florida were
thrown out last week for technical reasons, and elections observers
are wondering whether the state’s election laws are fair, especially
to military personnel.
Rod further reported that Bush:filed suit in state court today (2000) seeking
to force 13 Florida counties to count a larger percentage of votes from
overseas military personnel.
To no avail. But a new system like in New Jersey would allow servicepersons the option to fax or use the internet their ballot from overseas for a timely count. Suprisingly, the Democrat lawmakers objected
A New
Jersey congressman raised questions Thursday about a new military
voting program that lets service members request and submit their
ballots by fax or e-mail.
What, are we crazy? We can't let those people vote. Just Illegal Aliens. From CFIC.ORG, the following:According
to the Associated Press, 30 percent of military voters who requested
absentee ballots in 2000 did not receive them in time to have their
vote counted. In 2000, roughly 250,000 military voters applied to
vote absentee. Now, with hundreds of thousands of additional troops
posted in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, the number of military
personnel interested in voting absentee is expected to soar.
You get the point.
The Democrats fear the military. They want to emasculate and minimize any sense of military power in the United States. This has been proven by the Carter and Clinton administration's record.
The Democrats represent a constituency that hates America, thinks it is an evil presence in the world, and wants nothing less than to reduce our armed forces and have it become a supplemental unit to the United Nations.
My point is, do something NOW. Don't wait until a few weeks before the election.
Let your representatives and senators know you want action and will hold them accountable. Write the newspapers and post on their blogs. The military vote could swing the election of Hillary Clinton into a different direction.
The Washington Times reported in 2004 that
the Military vote was vital for a Bush victory. How about 2008. Will you and I let their votes count?
Now's the time to do something, not later.
